The Companies Registration Office is the central repository of public statutory information on Irish companies and business names. The CRO operates under the aegis of the Department of Enterprise Trade and Employment.
The Companies Registration Office houses the Register of Companies, Business Names and Restricted/Disqualified Persons, all of which can be searched through their website. Certain searches will require a fee and can be made through the Companies Registration Office.
The main responsibilities of the Companies Registration Office include:
